H & A Art Studio

At H & A Art Studio, we are dedicated to imparting a strong foundation in fine art. Our approach is rooted in traditional, 'old school' teaching techniques and principles, ensuring that our students not only discover the joy of art but also develop the skills and knowledge necessary for success in high-level art colleges and universities. We welcome students of all levels, from beginners with no prior art experience to those aspiring to pursue a career in the arts.

Hamlet Hovakimyan Artist / Teacher

Hamlet was born and educated in Armenia. He established an early interest in art while growing up, which led him to the Yerevan State College of Fine Arts after Panos Terlemezyan, Armenia. 

While at art college from 2003 to 2011, Hamlet developed his passion for painting and his peculiar style further. His influences have been the works of cubist and impressionist artists of the early 20th century. Hamlet’s  works are full of breathtaking colours and creative compositions. His works are the reflection of his self-expression, fantasy, emotions as well as the extraordinary perception of the world around him. 

Hamlet has exhibited his work not only in Armenia, but also in Canada. His preferred medium of painting is oil on canvas.

Currently Hamlet lives and works in the city of Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada.

Arega Grigoryan Artist / Teacher 

Arega Grigoryan is an accomplished artist from Armenia, currently based in Burnaby, BC, Canada. Recognized as a gifted artist from a young age, her artistic journey began in childhood. 

With over 14 years of experience, she specializes in captivating and emotive art, with a particular passion for painting portraits. Her works reflect her unique blend of self-expression, fantasy, emotions, and dreams. Arega's preferred mediums are oil on canvas and charcoal. Her art has been showcased in galleries and exhibitions in Armenia and Canada, including prestigious art shows such as the Armenian President's Award and Art Battle. 

She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art and has also pursued digital art courses.

Arega's profound and evocative paintings have gained recognition from a global audience, leaving a lasting impact with their depth and beauty.
